This small centre of just 30 children at any given time, set on a tranquil, internal block overlooking the Tamar River, is recognised as an environment where the importance of nature is a primary focus. In developing the centre we have placed a lot of emphasis on sustainability with the inclusion of natural resources, the use of solar power and the installation of water tanks for irrigation. The Centre operates a Family Grouping model whereby all ages of children have the opportunity to mix together throughout the day. There are separate areas for groups and individuals to have some space, such as the ‘secret garden’, but involvement with different ages is encouraged.
